The Paris-based, Algerian artist Adel Abdessemed has made a Carrara marble sculpture of a young, nude Angela Merkel. Titled Is Beautiful (2017-18), the work is going on display in his exhibition L’Antidote’ at the MAC Lyon (9 March-8 July), southern France.
The black and white images show a group of nude girls walking around naked. One of the girls has short hair and bears an eerie resemblance to Merkel.

The German Embassy in Washington declined to comment Monday on a nude photograph that some online have claimed depict a younger Chancellor Angela Merkel, while the nudist blogger who first posted the image said he does not believe it is Merkel.
Even though she is one of the most powerful women in the world, it means nothing. Nude photos can also be taken of Angela Merkel.
