Sheriff Gualtieri, in particular, showed support for the idea, suggesting East Beach at Fort DeSoto as an ideal location. If established, the beach would become Florida’s fifth naturist beach, the first on the peninsular state’s western coast.
FYI, g-string and thong swimwear are perfectly legal anywhere on Fort DeSoto beach. The way the law reads total nudity would be a violation. However, as long as the sex organs (genitals) are covered then it’s cool.

It does not have and concessions so you will need to bring your food and drink. They do have porta potties in the parking lot. This is a bit more laid back than some other nude beaches so come lay out and enjoy the day.

There are no bathrooms or any other amenities. There are bathrooms up the road at the kayak launch. So if you want peaceful and quite this is where you will find it.
